i did not see first half but second half was really great entertaining football. i think performance of chelsea shows is probably not just 2 horse race

i also like how i did not see lampard on the pitch at any point in time of this match. im sure that he started and im double sure he must of played his usual terrible performance.

i think these 2 team together with man city is clearly big gulf in class between them and arsenal and spurs, then another gulf for the rest of epl

Laugh all you want. He knew exactly what he wanted to do the moment he was in the box and he did absolutely everything to plan, but he still missed. That goal was not meant to go in

When Torres missed I jumped up off the seat screaming with joy, then my dog started attacking me, he's defiantly a closet Chelsea fan. Laughing

Love how people assume I made an excuse for Torres' miss, when I didn't. I just said it was good to see that he got in that position.

Anyone thinking it's the worst ever should refer to Kalou's collection though.

What would the score have been if every barely missed opportunity went in?

My friend, they are not comparable considering the penalty he slipped. It was a turf problem, not a Rooney problem. The "empty net" you describe was not an empty net, and it is a difficult technique to aquire on your weaker foot, however he was still so close to scoring.

A miss of the Torres calibre will not be seen for a long time to come.

Can take a lot of positives today, and work still needs to be done.

Still progressing with every game. Hopefully that miss hasn't put Torres' back to square one.

A penalty isn't an empty net, Luke. You still have to be beat the GK.

Tbf though Torres made some good runs today, did well to round to De Gea as well.

I wasn't talking about the penalty.. Rooney missed an empty net when Chicharito got injured.

I can't even remember where Cech was placed for that miss.

Pretty sure it wasn't in the caliber of Torres' miss anyway, that's up there with the worst i've ever seen.

It can happen to anyone though, you or me, Messi, just unfortunate, not like his aim was so bad he missed. Just one of those things. Still shouldn't have missed, but it's one of those things.

Although Torres is getting better with every game, as is our play as a whole, this game just a bit too soon, for our defence especially, but we're making good progress. Didn't expect anything from today so I'm not too down about it.

meireles very impressive his touch and pass look much bettter when he play for chelsea then he did in liverpool i think he benefit from being surrounded by higher quality players. he doesnt need to chase bad pass from another player anymore and his passes mostly always are good short to mid range pass rather then the long passes that dalglish was demanding from his players from the dug out at liverpool

    Torres rofl rofl

De Gea pulled off a great save in the first half as well. We were poor today, so sloppy at times which was frustrating. Carrick played well when he came on, much better than Fletcher who looked quite shite today, I must say. Rooney was unlucky with the penalty. Although, the real reason was to take the piss out of Terry watching on Cool

Not sure what was going on when Cole was booked. Book him and give a penalty or don't book him Neutral

Love how United have had Spurs, Arsenal and us at Home first...The fact 2 goals were offside and the fact it's at old trafford against us first.

It's just strange how United get it every year, anyways rant over.
