I'm talking about when they find their best positions. Obviously I wouldn't describe the aforementioned 3 as strikers because they are not strikers. But if the player is best known for playing position X for 5 clubs in his career, and moves to club 6 and plays in position Y, then I for one would still class him as a 'position Xer', like Bale, or Lafferty.

Oh, and please don't say garbage, that's yank talk. I prefer the word 'shit'.

I wouldn't class Bale as a leftback, unless theres a crisis he'll probably never play there again.

Bale's a bit of an extreme.
