Re: Drogba?
Ended up suffering mild concussion I think. He was released from hospital that evening.

Re: Drogba?
It's cruel to laugh but it looks so funny when his body just bounces off the ground.
I'm sure he was released from Hosptial with a concussion or something the day of the incedent.

Are you a fucking spastic?
Look at this, who does it tell you is working harder for the team, making more movement, linking up play more?
Drogba, with a 47% pass completion rate...
Or Torres..
Who has clearly been running round the pitch more looking for the ball, trying to link up play, and that's not even his forte. Torres has deserved to start ahead of Drogba, he's been sharper, worked harder, and Drogba looks off the ball at the minute. The root of Torres problem is still the lack of service, he still has to come deep to get the ball, usually laying it off to someone else.
You payed £35m for Carroll, someone without a reputation for being a world-class striker, we paid £50m for someone who does.
It also amazes me how people moan at us for relying to much on older players; Drogba is 33, we can't rely on him forever, the days of battering opponents are over, we're very much in transition. Villas-Boas is the perfect man to do it.

Reputation counts for fuck all if he's not getting the job done.

Re: Drogba?
Oh, well would you rather have sold him for £15m because he wasn't getting the job done?
Exactly.
Exactly.

Re: Drogba?
The problem with Torres is that he's lost a yard or mroe of pace so he has lost the ability to run off the shoulder of a defender which was the key to most of his goals for us . Sorry, Luke, his best days are over

Yeah, you're right, no-one at all has criticised Torres for his goal drought. It's hardly been mentioned.

It's not his problem at all. People on here have made way too big a deal of that.

You're saying it's not his fault he's only managed 10 goals in a year?
You can't pin it all down on lack of service.

I meant it's not as much of a problem as people make it out, he still has enough pace to beat his man, done it on several occasions vs Stoke leading to him winning several free kicks, and should have won a penalty.
There are a few reasons as to why it hasn't quite worked out yet.

It's more his fault than the team's fault.

Re: Drogba?
Eh, well anyway back to Drogba.
Will they make him miss any games for the concussion? That injury is a big deal in other sports.

stop beating around the bush and making excuses. Torres is a striker with one goal that cost alot. He's shit. If you guys didn't play Torres you'd still be contenders in the EPL and Champions League. Heskey has more goals than Torres right now.
Also, those photos are fucking stupid Drogba got knocked out and didn't play all game and you're gonna judge his passing completion?

I'm surprised at that. Thought he would be out of action for at least a couple of weeks.

Only one of them scores goals.
