What playing position is your best?
Which position are you most suited to when playing football? What attributes do you have that make you stand out in this particular position?

No one here plays football to a decent standard therefore are just as shit in every position. This thread will be full of lies, probably with one from Dean telling us how he played against George Best when he was younger.

CDM defend as well as pass but shooting is a little to be desired plus i can knock people of the ball

I play centre back for a pub team. Fuck timing and interceptions, just jump two footed in to the cunts legs.

I know nobody here is going to be a brilliant or excellent footballer, but against their typical standard of opponents, they probably still have positions that they are a lot better in than others.

I play as a center back and model my game on Sebastian 'super super quality' Squillaci. I lack pace yet do not have the positional sense to compensate for this lack of pace,my clearances are often poor and from time to time lose my bearings completely and head into my own goal.
Sadly,I am yet to form a proffesional career unlike 'Super super quality' Squillaci.

Sounds legit to meDean wrote:
Funny this thread, because I was thinking about this before.
Well
were to start, I've mentioned it before on here but I played for
Tottenham and Everton academy's growing up as a kid, I was at both clubs
for a combined 10 years in total from the age of 7-16 (Didn't make it,
obviously). I always played as a left forward/left midfielder. I was
always small as a kid, bout 5'7, 5'8, a footballer, good dribbler, great
burst of pace, great low centre of gravity, good jumper (Didn't win
many headers though being that small)and I was a decent finisher.
Now
here is the turning point, at around 13-14, I went on a massive growth
spurt and by 16 I was 6ft3. (That was definitely a factor in me not
quite reaching it as a footballer) So while I was at Everton I had to
adapt my game, the speed and low centre of gravity went, I just couldn't
run as fast any more and couldn't turn as quick. But I know had
strength, power and aerial presence on my side, so naturally I had to
adapt. So from being a left forward, I had to become a centre
forward/striker. So I changed my game, learnt how to play the way I do,
adapted and that's that. Did a lot of gym work and bulked up
considerably.
I'm the same as Fernando Llorente, if you read an
interview with him, he says when he was a kid, he was all what I've
mentioned but took a massive growth spurt and had to adapt his game,
difference is, he made it, I never. But now you can see clearly see in
his game that he used to have them attributes, his dribbling, movement
with the ball, trapping, turning is excellent for his size and build, as
well as being a great target man.
Whilst I was adapting, I
always kept the good dribbling and good turning also like Llorente (You
never lose your technical ability). So I'm a player who plays in a very
similar fashion to him.
This is why he's one of my favourite players.

Sweeper, I'm quite tall, good at tackling and I'm a good passer of the ball.
And sometimes I can't be assed taking the safe option and try to dribble from centre back like a pro.

See what I mean? People say they are good at stuff.
No you are not! You are shit.
People like Van Der Vaart, Michael Carrick, Charlie Adam, Denilson are good players. Stop overrating yourselves.

I can't play for shit. Honestly. I am so terrible. I'd be best suited as a steward or something else.

I'm sure that they mean they are good for their respective levels. This would be a rather boring thread if everyone came in and stated their best position, but then reminded us that they are in actual fact, rubbish.

Re: What playing position is your best?
I played right back in high school and that was the only time I ever played in a defined position, usually we play 3-6/whatever a side and on the RARE occasion we ever got 22 people to play football we basically just played 'everybody move forward when you have the ball, run back when you don't' it was basically basketball but using your feet.

I'm an attacking midfielder, I like to attack but I also like to drop back and help my team in the middle of the pitch.

Well I prefer playing RB or ST, and for Southend United U16's I play ST or CM.

Re: What playing position is your best?
Jk I don't play on the bench.
I am quite a lazy cunt so I play in the centre, usually as a CF or CAM so I don't have to track back much. My best attributes are ball control and shooting/finishing, I have got a beasty right foot and I can finish pretty much everyone one-on-one I get.

Deep lying playmaker. Like to pick out passes a lot and i'm an okay tackler. Can't beat a man for shit really, or dribble that far.

Typical Americans, not understanding how the game is played
