I was just coming out of school teachers went to watch tv in the staffroom and my parents watched it at home, I wouldn't of been too interested at 5 though

I was trying to watch cartoons round my Grandmas after school on 9/11 then they all cut off and every channel just had news on showing the damage.

Yeah I remember my mates' mum picking me up from school and saying 'oh, there's been some plane crashes in New York' and I just thought 'and? There's loads of plane crashes why are you telling me about this one?'

Then I got home and didn't see anything else on TV for the next 6 weeks.

I don't remember anything about it. All I remember now is a couple of people in my class writing a poem about it.

I think had just got home from school after the first plane went in..terrible stuff.

Remember coming home from school, my dad & my brother were watching it on telly nd told me something along the lines of "The Yanks have been bombed."

I remember the minute (or two minutes, not sure) silence in our English class though. Mainly because minute silences at school were torture.

I was coming out of school and my mum was talking to other mums and I heard them saying planes have crashed into the towers, and I thought they meant the towers at the Colliery site in my village so I stood on a bench and looked in that direction but couldn't see any smoke. Then got home and realised it was in New York as my mum had the news on. Then went off to play on the Playstation
