If we played Welbeck in the midfield somehow, we could play an all black midfield.

What did you guys think of Valencia when he signed for us? I would've laughed in someone's face if someone told me we'd be in the Champions league final with Antonio Valencia in the starting squad.

I loved it when Young scored his second and Evra was doing something funny at him and they were both laughing and Young pushed him in a laughing way.
Turned me on.

He'd looked good for Wigan, Valencia. Remember he'd had a few good games against us as well.
Didn't know his crossing was as great as it is, and he tormented every single left back in 09/10.

rated him highly, there was a thread on FIFA forums when we signed him about PArk v Valencia and i was defending valencia and saying he is nothing like ronaldo but he will give us proper width etc and people were dismissing it saying park is miles better

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
I liked the way Nani was sort of over taking him for a place on the right wing by then. In a 4-3-3, it was him, Park and Rooney. Then Valencia comes on in the San Siro and inspires the win.

If you want me to be brutally honest, I wasn't excited at all when we signed him. There was no doubt that he was a very good winger, but I was looking for a replacement to Ronaldo, which he certainly wasn't. Looking back, that was probably very harsh on him. He wasn't the sort of player who was supposed to waltz in as Ronaldo's replacement. He offers service as one of those out and out wingers, which Man United as a club have always prided themselves in.

Rene Meulensteen: Our first team coach.
"Sir Alex Ferguson has tremendous confidence in our current selection"
"But a player the caliber of Wesley Sneijder could well suit us. I've said it before and I repeat it again. Where a will, there's always a way. As a club player and really want it, there is always something possible. I would be a transfer of Sneijder only applaud"
