I'm not supporting his actions for not playing well in anyways, just saying he chose to play that way not because he lost his touch.

Atletico should never ever jeer Forlan, without Forlan they wouldn't have won the UEFA Cup. Fans should easily understand that when you are playing for a coach that is a complete puta you don't usually get pumped up to play. I believe many fans didn't know this until Forlan explained this at season end so I don't really blame them.

If Forlan played like he was and was focused onto more, they be even past that Europa League into CL.

Whether you buy it or not, it an obvious sensible explanation that you choose not to believe because you want to discredit Forlan. Even with shit games he still got almost half of Aguero's 20 goals.

Forlan still has it, especially with Falcao coming in he will have a great strike partner with him as well. We'll see this season when Forlan regain usual self.

Forlan is clearly the superior player. He has much more technical ability, as you can see he plays in a more technical league. Also more clinical in front of goal

I think they are both dynamic. World Cup and the one season where Athletico Madrid won Europa Forlan was class but I'd say Rooney is better throughout his career. Rooney had his worst season the same time Forlan had his best and thus the debate factor. Don't see Forlan winning leagues of the champions league

I think Forlan's prime is better than Rooney's prime, but Rooney is better now. Rooney's obviously done better in England, but Forlan's done better in the World Cup.
