Just looked at Cleverleys passing against Spurs. He got 88% success rate, same as Anderson, the only ones he misplaced were long ones. Everything else was simple passing and getting the game moving. He went about his job quietly but effectively.

Anderson and Cleverley on the ball together seem fine, but I still worry about their defensive side, hope it is okay though.

Can't see Anderson and Cleverley playing a lot together through the course of the season, especially when the CL kicks in. Fergie will have there's gaps in behind, and better teams can, and probably will exploit them. But atm, we've had 2 routine league matches were it hasn't really mattered, and both are playing well.

When we play them 2 together in a 4-4-2 formation our attack comes more like an assault with the movement, interchanging, quick passes it's deadly. Thing is, like Kyro said, defensively with them 2 in a 4-4-2 we lack cover for the back 4, which could be a problem against some sides. They work hard though to track back and win the ball back once it's lost , I'll give them that.

Don't be stupid, you can't make a statement like that with certainty. What is almost certain is that we would have a better chance or beating them with Modric or Ronaldo or Sneijder than without.

MAdrid have a team full of ready made stars and they cant compete even when they play as perfect as they did in the super cup. in 2009 we had a better team then them arguable and they destroyed us
the only way to beat barca is if they have an off day or messi is injured. CL is luck mostly thats why i dont like buying just to aim for CL
