Reporting someone on the Playmaker for minor thing is just stoopid.

Re: Scottish Cup enters record books
I hate when the English always like to overhype the FA Cup as the most prestigious cup in existence. That fact is obviously false. For those that don't care, try saying the same thing to the Ross County and Queen of the South fans when their side reached the final. As a Morton fan, I would take the Scottish Cup over promotion every day of the week.

I would have to disagree with you. Reaching the Scottish Cup final is a great thing, even when we reached the semi-final it was something special but the financial bonus of getting promoted is much greater eg league bonus, television revenue etc.cheesy wrote:I hate when the English always like to overhype the FA Cup as the most prestigious cup in existence. That's the problem though. I would much rather take winning a major honour over promotion any day. You may get more money from promotion, but what will happen with that money? The cup victory gives you memories that you can treasure for the rest of your life, and a trip to Europe in addition.

Winning the league and acheiving promotion will give you great memories. The money would most likely go to upgrading the stadium or buying players good enough for that level. Acheiving promotion to the highest level of Scottish football is smoething special. With just getting prmoted you can have a few great memories imaging if Morton or Raith went to Ibrox/Parkhead and won.cheesy wrote:Róvers wrote:I would have to disagree with you. Problem is that it may come crashing down eventually. Winning the league may be great, but what is it worth when you are eventually relegated back down? Of course you can have some great results, but it's almost impossible for the newly promoted to stop the Old Firm now.
Are you on the P and B forums, as we have a whole thread relating to this matter.

The original trophy is owned by the Scottish FA but resides 365 days of the year in the Scottish Football Museum. It is carefully brought out of the Museum on cup final day and presented to the winning team before being returned to the Museum.
BAD idea, one day someone is bound to drop it and break the trophy!
