Sandro > Diarra.
Waste of money for Spurs when they already have Sandro.

Meh. At his best he's good, most of the time he's pretty poor and can barely complete a 5 yard pass.

Don't see the need unless Harry is changing the shape and is gonna play with 2 holders and use really attacking full backs.

Good signing. Palacios and Huddlestone are both good midfielders, but Diarra is on another level from them.

Palacios is on the way out, Sandro is injured, Jenas is injured, Huddlestone is just back fit as of last night. Excellent signing. Diarra is what we need. For those putting Bale at LB, how do you leave BAE out? he is one of the most consistent performers and is one the first names on the sheet as far as I'm concerned. If we are to progress we need extra quality, and Diarra brings that. I'm very happy for this signing if it is completed, and hopefully it will be before Monday.
Gomes/Friedel
Walker - Dawson - Kaboul/Bassong/Gallas/King (he maybe fit for Monday apparently) - BAE
Lennon - Diarra (Sandro when Diarra is injured/suspended) - Modric (Huddlestone/Krancjar if Modric goes but he won't) - Bale
VDV
Defoe (Adebayor once he has joined)

Still a decent defensive midfielder though, and better than what Tottenham currently have in my opinion.

If you're looking for a RB that's good at attacking they don't need to sign a new one, Kyle Walker can do that.James wrote:Don't see the need unless Harry is changing the shape and is gonna play with 2 holders and use really attacking full backs.

Also, Huddlestone should be in that side.

He's much better than Palacios, and Huddlestone isn't really a defensive midfielder, more a play maker with his passing IMO. Diarra's only real competition in that spot would be Sandro who is injured at the moment.

They are similar, both can play well but have been out of form since about 2002.

I'm not so confident of that, reckon he's off to Chelsea.easley91 wrote:kyro7 wrote:If you're looking for a RB that's good at attacking they don't need to sign a new one, Kyle Walker can do that.James wrote:Don't see the need unless Harry is changing the shape and is gonna play with 2 holders and use really attacking full backs.

Well Palacios can't pass to save his life, so there's one. Palacios is better off somewhere else now, Stoke most likely, since we have Sandro and Jenas as well as Hudd.

Do you believe that? It seems obvious that Levy is saying, in reality, we will sell but we simply want you to give us a ridiculous transfer fee first.

He's not leaving, he'll have one more year and if we don't finish top 4 he'll go next summer.

Yes, I've seen both. Hence why I said they are both about the same.
Neither can pass 5 yards.

I'm so confident he'll stay you can bookmark it for September 1st (or 2nd as we know deals can be confirmed late).

Modric is injured, but he'll be fit for United on Monday and he'll play.

The reserves should have played last night. They would have still shown up Hearts, displaying how bad the Scottish game is because it has almost no money whatsoever.

Let's just kidnap him and not give him back.
