When you do it on a regular basis yes.blackskar wrote:kyro7 wrote:Massively down to Udinese not taking chances, thought your defence let them in way too much, I wouldn't see it as a positive.blackskar wrote:Another clean sheet
Didn't think Arsenal played all that well but got a 1-0 out of it so they'll be happy, need to play better in the second leg, if they get an away goal the tie will be over.
Playing like shit and coming away with the result is the sign of champions

Why not? We score 1 away goal, and they need to score 3 to go through.
They couldn't score 1 against us today, even with a makeshift defense, and half our attack missing.
When they're back, it'll be even harder to score against us, so scoring 3 is still going to be hard if we score. I'm not ruling it out at all, but it'll still be hard.
Gibbs has a hamstring injury so he will probably miss the away leg. Traore has a injury also. That means Vermaelen at left back and Djorou filling the void in CB. Problem is he could also miss the second leg, commentator said it was a hamstring for him also so Squillaci at CB with Koscielny = LOLOLOLOLOL

Guidolin should play Fabbrini in the 2nd leg. Armero is much better running at people from leftback.

Yes but:
Szczsney
Sagna - Koscielny - Vermaelen - Jenkinson
Song - Wilshere
Walcott - Ramsey/Nasri - Gervinho
van Persie
Is stronger then:
Szczsney
Sagna - Koscielny - Vermaelen - Gibbs/Vermaelen/Jenkinson
Song - Ramsey
Walcott - Rosicky - Gervinho
Chamakh (So nobody)

I didn't like what Kwadwo Asamoah was doing in the game, put Di Natale in his role and then a striker upfront...
Handanovic
Ekstrand - Benatia - Danilo - Pasquale
Agy'Badu
Isla -- Pinzi -- Armero
Di Natale
Denis/Vydra/Fabbrini

Song got higher then Szczsney, and Rosicky lower then Chamakh. Chamakh got the same as Vermaelen and Szczsney

Arsenal 1-0 UdineseSchnix wrote:am i the only one rooting udinese here?
i mean really root, not root as in "i dislike arsenal so i'm rooting udinese"
isla/armero should dominate the flanks. isla and dinatale should be too much for gibbs to handle and it's not like gervinho or arshavin track back much. udinese's central defense is meh, but they play with 3 CB's anyway so that makes up for it. they might even be overstocked in the back since arsenal only plays with 1 striker, which makes me think this will be a low scoring game.
i think the game might end in 0-0 or 1-0 to udinese.i don't see arsenal scoring. theyre too disorganized. missing fabregas is worse than missing inler+sanchez. not to mention nasri, van persie, and wilshere all missing as well

Only caught the first 15 mins or so of the game. Di Natale's freekick was amazing shame it didn't go in. I can see Udinese scoring at their place

I wouldn't be pleased with a 1-0 home win Especially when they bossed the game.

Re: Arsenal vs Udinese Match Thread, SS2
Our defence was switched around at least 3 times in the match, key players in Wilshere and van Persie missing plus we basically had 10 men with Chamakh up front who can't even finish writing his name let alone have a shot.Cam wrote:I wouldn't be pleased with a 1-0 home win Especially when they bossed the game.
We'll definitely score at their place at least 2 goals, they'll score just the 1

Meh, It's not good that you were getting dominated at home and you have to play them next week. Knowing you lot, you'll still get through though

They didn't even boss that game. If you want a game where they bossed it and lost anyway, look at our 1-0 over them last season or when we crucified them at the Emirates in 09/10Kuled wrote:United 2-1 Arsenal 09/10 seasonSBSP wrote:Arsenal would know all about that.19Jones19v wrote:Bossing the game counts for fuck allCam wrote:I wouldn't be pleased with a 1-0 home win Especially when they bossed the game.
