It's Messi, unless he's injured he always plays competitive games. Sanchez would play on the wings anyway. Cesc's case was to see how else they could use him besides the midfield. Most players on the Barca starting line up can play at least 2 positions.

Probably as many as he does every season since he is their primary source of scoring.

This is an old article, but it still held true at the end of last season. Ronaldo's shots per game were by far the most of anyone in any top league, yet his shot on goal percentage was nothing compared to Messi, and he isn't even remotely close to him in terms of passing and assists. Simply looking at the number of goals Ronaldo ended up with last year doesn't tell the whole story.
