Anyway, Modric is one of 2 missing pieces of our puzzle, as well as a winger.
Should go all out for Modric/Moutinho, as well as Mata. Then we're set for the season.

So it looks like Man City will go top of the table after they smash Swansea about 7-0.
Hopefully WBA will get a lucky goal against Man United and then they can park the bus in defence.

People saying Torres was back to his old self? Wtf lol. I watched the whole match, and he wasn't .. Unless people forgot how good he was for Liverpool?

Torres looked better but not back to his best
some of his turns and bursts of pace were impressive

Re: Stoke V Chelsea Match Thread
Only caught some of the second half, and thought Chelsea played very well. Played a high defensive line and pressured Stoke into everything and dictating play. Keeping play on the ground (Carragher take note ). Stokes keeper pulled off some decent saves too. Good result for Stoke though.

Thats what I thought. I thought he was back to how he was playing for us just before he left, maybe not even that good yet. (talking about around the Chelsea game where he scored twice)

Oh he'll never be the Torres of 07-09, he'll never reach them heights again. But credit where credits due, he was brilliant today I thought.

Just showed a replay of the peno, Lampard was going down before the contact, I've seen them given though.

Dw. Suarez is ahead of him in the goal charts atm. Carroll should be too.

Re: Stoke V Chelsea Match Thread
torres made nice pass to kalou in second half, good turn and pass.
he is not back to best but hes a lot beter then before when he cannot even trap a ball
still chelsea clearly no creativity. they will be fucked without creative influence
