i thought as soon as he came onto the pitch, our link up play improved, the scrappy play stopped and Berbatov was linking it up again. Provided the assist for Young.
Surely Berbatov must start against Tottenham on viewing evidence
I'd like to see Berbatov back in the team, but it seems quite unlikely. Fergie wants to give Welbeck opportunities and when Hernandez is back, Berbatov will find himself even further back in the pecking order.
I'd like to think otherwise, but Berbatov's time as a Man United player may be coming to an end. I know he'll be considering a move if he struggles to get any playing time.
Welbeck did look quite poor today though. I didn't feel that he made enough of an impact on the game. That's why Berbatov probably came on, but the problem is he doesn't rely on his energy and workrate, so he can't be used as an impact sub. In my opinion, it would work a lot better if we worked it the other way round, by starting with Berbatov and bringing on Welbeck later in the game as more of an impact player.

I thought he held the ball up well and allowed us to play our game better, even though I'm not too fond of Berbatov, with the football we keep playing he's probably the best striker for the job.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Talking about the media and their quick judgements, I bet you they will change their opinion on Arsenal nearly every week this season. One week they will be the exciting team full of youngsters that can win the title, after a convincing win, then the next week they will be the team with no backbone that is falling apart and won't qualify for the Champions League when they lose.

9 games there, I reckon we'll win 6 draw 2 lose 1.
That's probably me being too optimistic though.
