Suppose so but wouldn't expected him to make it bit like most of the defenders in the academy.

Even before that we had Evans, who was much better as well as Brown, O'Shea and Pique; they were just the back up.

It sure will. Especially with Fabio, Rafael, Jones, Smalling and Evans who are all young and got good experience.

I said it before but I love the fact that they can play in different positions. Smalling at RB Twins can play on both Flanks and Evans can play at LB aswell.

We could do with a couple more defenders though, for back up.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Smalling and Jones have both shown us that they are more than competent in the full-back positions. I wouldn't have been sure about Smalling, but he was excellent last week against City.
Evans I'm not so sure about. Playing him at full-back would mean we wouldn't have to witness some horrendous errors from him at CB, but I don't think he has the necessary pace, or the necessary crossing ability.
At least it's away to West Brom, and not away to someone like Chelsea or Man City.

It's annoying supporting a club with a good away following isn't it. Our away allocation for West Ham sold out in 4 minutes, lucky we got tickets! Wish we were like Barnsley or someone, who could just decide the day before whether they fancied making the trip!

Yea, bloody piss take. Thing is it gets harder each year as clubs keep reducing our away allocation as we "constantly stand", which isn't a great reason as every away team fans do. In other words we're just cunts at away games

Went to one last year and it was Fulham, not one to remember. What pisses me off is you see Bolton away, use to get all that stand behind the goal now they won't give us half of the top tier.
For Spurs I think I got a free spare ticket, some where in east stand though I hate east stand.

Its because our fans insist on standing, Liverpool cut our tickets by a 1/3.
East stand is good, im just to the right of the goal

East stand is soulless though. Your seat isn't too bad as it's near 'K band', which is alright. East stand tier 2 - shot dead if you dare stand or sing.

Yeah we get that, also get reduced allocations on police advice or because the other clubs are stuck in the 80s and still think we will smash the ground to bits.

When we beat you in the FA Cup the other year did we get a bigger allocation than usual? And were we in the the usual away area or did we get somewhere different?

Yea, you got loads more than usual. The normal away section is the corner by east stand, which you had. You then had the whole of east stand tier 2. Think we gave you something like 9,000 tickets.

Dont remember that game
Your fans were right up the back of the east stand, we gave Liverpool that last year too I think, also Schalke used some of it.

Wish I'd been there. Tickets for that sold out mad quick as well, they had to do some kind of crazy ballot thing. Never forget the noise on TV after the goal though, sounded like the home team had scored with the volume!

I dunno why we started giving away teams part of the upper, its not like we dont fill it.

You could fill Old Trafford 3 times over and still have demand. Like us away, we could get a 10,000 allocation at most places and still sell out with ease... but you have to be fair I suppose, just got to get the balance right with not being stingy for away fans but not losing out on home fans who will buy more merchandise and stuff.
