He's a lifelong forest fan, had a season ticket years ago but stopped as soon as I was born as over things in his life where more important such as supporting the family. Also my Grandad and my Great grandad where Forest fans and where from Nottingham, and Im the sort of kink in the line, but saying that my Uncle (Dads brother) is a Ipswich Town fan.Lux wrote:Is your dad a Watford fan or something?
Why Watford vs Forest?

I choose Watford as its localish, and will give me enough time to raise £50-£60 to fund tickets and If I can get some money from my mum to pay for the train. But Im also thinking of getting him the New Forest kit instead as thats only £45 and would take like 3 weeks to get £36 and and I could get extra money from jobs and stuff. So I might do that.
But fuck me it sucks being 15, "How much money did I have? 56p and a button" When Im 16 I'll have a job and have my own incoming cash instead of shitty paperound money.
Watford is the closes place in September, and my dads Birthday is 31st of August, and Ipswich is too many months away.Lux wrote:Adz wrote:He's a lifelong forest fan, had a season ticket years ago but stopped as soon as I was born as over things in his life where more important such as supporting the family. I see
But why not Forest vs Ipwich, Norwich, West Ham, Millwall or Palace ? All closer.
But oh well...some more money in our coffers .....and another two people present to watch the Hornets win
But er travel wise....presumably you get the train to Liverpool Street.....find your way to Euston and you can get a fast train up to Watford.

Really happy with that and their attitudes have certainly changed regarding Cheltenham games as a "waste of time" after experiencing great banter with fellow robins fans on the bus. I guess they've learned that there is more to the game of football then winning. It's all about the day out, banter, having fun with mates etc.

It's always nice to convert the glory hunters. Keep up the good work

Nope, actually it is Buckley I think loads of them live in Manchester and throughout the UK. I could possibly have cousins that I know nothing about in Ireland so it really is a major surname. We even got our own coat of arms.
I had an RE teacher called Miss Buckley. Had the most annoying brummy accent.Lux wrote:Weather130 wrote:Lux wrote:Davies?

I can't think of any person I've ever met other than the footballer with the name Buckley.
