Are Newcastle in danger of relegation? Empty Are Newcastle in danger of relegation?

Post by crump Mon Jul 25, 2011 9:53 am

Obviously with every team in the current Premier League who loom below 12th place are in danger of being relegated, but I think Newcastle could be back down again, according to the latest interview with Enrique blasting their policy, which is a real shame, because with a couple of signings Pardrew could make Newcastle a strong club. I don't think Ba is enough to do the job.

    http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_7060157,00.html

Newcastle defender Jose Enrique has voiced his frustration at the club's transfer policy and has implied that the officials do not want to invest in the squad.

"This club will never again fight to be among the top 6 again with this policy."

"The [sic] give the money I have already. They lie all the time. But is no for money is because they don't want spend in the club and bring quality players that's why everybody go."

We've made some pretty good signings. Ba and Cabaye are good players, and Ben Afra will be like a new signing too. I reckon another Mid Table finish is on the cards, just aslong as our board don't fuck up during the season.

No chance. Ba is a good player, Cabaye I love too, good CM.

    Got some good players.

They've made decent signings so far in my opinion, with time still for more. Don't know what Enrique was expecting.

Of course they may not be in with a shout of 20th, 19th etc, but, the following:

Wigan - I think they'll go down without some signings, can't see them doing it this season, losing N'Zogbia looks inevitable.

Wolverhampton - Same really, maybe they'll stay up, but I can see them heading down.

West Brom - Hodgson excels with teams like West Brom, I can see him making WBA into a mid-table team this season.

Swansea - A strong force, maybe a chance of relegation, but I'd swing more in favour of them staying up than going down.

QPR - Same story with Swansea, have they sold Taarabt yet? I'd liek to see how he doesn't in the Prem if they keep hold of him.

Norwich - Not sure really what to think, I'm in two sets of minds.

    This is my prediction:

    20th - Wigan
    19th - Wolverhampton
    18th - Norwich
    17th - West Brom/Newcastle
    16th - Newcastle/West Brom

16th/17th was a hard choice, I may have contradicted myself with saying that about Hodgson, but it was a difficult choice

I meant danger of relegation, I didn't say they would, but they may linger above 18th place, which IMO is danger of relegation.

Made some good signings this summer, added to an already decent squad.

    Mid-table finish.

What a shit thread. They've signed, Marveaux, Cabaye, Ba, Ben Arfa etc. That's not a relegation candidate team. I would go into more detail but it's not worth it. Seriously Crump. It's getting pathetic now.

Ben Arfa back from injury with the signings of Ba, Marveaux, Cabaye and a few more to come I can see them coming in the top 10.

They are not in as much danger as Man Utd, especially after Sir Alex Neverwonanythinguson decided not to address the central midfield.

What the fuck are you taking? Sorry to burst your bubble, but Swansea will go straight back down. Just like all the other nice footballing teams that came up... Remember West Brom and Blackpool? West Brom would of gone down again last season if they didn't bring Hodgson in.

Seriously, your posts are shit. You have Wolves relegated who have quality players like Doyle, Johnson, Hunt, Jarvis etc but have QPR and Swansea in the top 15.

Thread obviously made not knowing a single thing about anything below the top 6.Are Newcastle in danger of relegation? 58503

Totally agree James, Swansea ahead of Wolves Laughing No chance, Swansea are obviously one of the favourites, for good reason.
