You'd have all the close rivals on the same team.. fuck that.

You're missing the point. Joining up with other club supporters to get behind your country is completely different. Nobody gives a crap about a pointless All Stars game, if it involved rivals fans getting together before a week before a bitterly competitive season i wouldn't be suprised if people went just to cause trouble.

An interesting proposal I saw from Rio was to have Premier League Champions Vs. Best of the Rest XI, I think that would be better than North Vs South.

how is Vermaelen an all star? he hasn't played? And 1 goal Torres earns his way onto the all star team? bullshit
every PL northern club and southern club should have at least 1 player representing them on the bench at least. Draws more interest.

It wouldn't be based on last season, it would be based in general surely?..
Otherwise you should be sticking Wilshere, Parker, Adam e/t/c in every team..

In the case of an all-star game, they're are lining up in a domestic competition. Anyway, I don't think it's a problem. It's just funny to think about. We have all-star games in all the major sports in the states and they go just boringly fine.
