I think things are about to change. It's a shame it's came so late though because I think if I'm starting to be proved right Fergie will pussy out and retire with people calling him the best ever, when really he was the best of shite competition.

are you just trolling or sumat? you say he had shite competition.. cumon!!!! liverpool, leeds, blackburn, newcastle, arsenal, chelsea and now city. Fergie has beaten them over and over again. You may hate united and fergie himself but you've got to respect what he's done.

The fact that he was just one of the biggest spenders shows that there's more to it than just spending. He was "one of" the biggest spenders and still won more titles than everybody else. And as you have pointed out, spending has gone down since 2005 and he has still won more titles than everybody else in England combined during that time.

Chelsea broke Man U's dominance when they vastly outspent Fergie. City are still getting their act together, once the dust has settled they'll overtake Ferguson's United.
