Part of FC Twente's Stadium Has Collapsed[1 DEAD/12 INJURED]

They were renovating it and the roof collapsed. There are people trapped underneath.

Hope they're ok.

Looking at the pictures it does not look as if anyone is hurt, the roof didn't even reach the seats from the look of it.

Better for it to happen now when only a few people are there than it to collapse while a game was being played. Could be a whole lot worse.

From what it looks like 'trapped' is bit of an exaggeration, maybe the front few rows but not at the higher end of the stand.

Yah, trapped is probably an exxageration.

A stadium is fairly small and from what I understand, only a small part of it collapsed.. if the workers are all well and alive they will be out of there in no time with minimum casualties.

The images on this page don't show up though...

A few people WERE trapped underneath. I doubt they would be sad enough to be taking pictures whilst people were stuck under there.

I really wonder how this has happened.

Is it because the roof was so old and not so good (reasons it was being renovated?)
Or is it because the workers haven't done their job properly in securing the roof etc before starting work?
