LoneRanger's Barnet Save
Recently got bored of my Newcastle save so decided to start again and fancied a challenge. My goal is to get Barnet Football Club to the Champions League Final, I will not be using FMRTE or Genie Scout so it's probably going to take a while, will update now and then. Wish me luck

Re: LoneRanger's Barnet Save
Update:
Pre season is going quite well won two games comfortably but also on the end of a 3-0 by Blackpool, I have enough left for a decent free transfer/ very cheap signing and can get one more loan in.

Winning start for Barnet
Bees got their League 2 campaign off to a perfect start with a 1-0 win at Underhill against surprisingly lacklusture Stockport County side. The only goal of the game came in the 9th minute when loanee Romone Rose slotted home after a cross was kindly deflected into his path. Barnet had their chances to extend the lead but a mixture of poor finishing and good saves from visiting keeper Matt Glennon meant the score stayed 1-0. Barnet's next game is the battle of the bees as they host Brentford at Underhill in the Carling Cup 1st round.

Re: LoneRanger's Barnet Save
I'll do monthly updates easier that way would people prefer just screenshots or screenshots with a write up?
I'll do a write up for August
August 2010
Despite being touted as relegation candidates Barnet end August sitting on top of League 2 and have yet to concede a goal. Highlights include wins against promotion contenders Wycombe Wanderers ( 1-0 Away ) and Bury (2-0 Home), other results included 1-0 wins over Stockport (H) and Accrington Stanley (A). Barnet's Carling Cup campaign is over however as they went down 2-0 to Brentford at Underhill.
Goal scorers: Romone Rose (2), Joe Devara,Martin McNiff, Steve Kabba (1)
Barnet have also added to the squad bringing in winger Anthony Edgar from West Ham, no other additions are expected to join in this window.

Re: LoneRanger's Barnet Save
Mixed Month for Barnet
September 2010
Barnet's fine start to the season continued through September however their impressive 6 league games unbeaten run has come to an end. The Bees started off with a tricky Johnston Paint Throphy clash at home to Wycombe Wanderers in a thrilling game that ended 4-4 Barnet went through on penalties (Chris Westwood missing the crucial spot kick for Wycombe). Barnet winning streak to 6 games with 2-1 wins over Shrewsbury and Torquay but they were to suffer defeat for the first time at the hands of their next opponent Rotherham United, the Bees defence was run ragged by the clinical Adam Le Fondre who netted four times. There was further dissapoint as Barnet failed to bounce back, going down 2-0 to Oxford United, Barnet did however get back on track ending September with a 1-0 win at Morecambe and 2nd in the League 2 table after 9 games.
Torquay are 23rd with 3 points and -11 GD
Stevenage are 24th with 1 point and -12 GD
Off the pitch I now have a goalkeeping coach and all the players I want to keep in the 1st team have signed new contracts.

January 2011
Transfers
League Table
Hereford are 23rd with 26 points and -17 GD
Torquay are 24th with 23 points and -31 GD
That cup run has really helped finacially I got around 900k from the Chelsea game, balance went up from 200k to 1.1M also have a feeder club BSS team and have 5 players signed for the summer.

Re: LoneRanger's Barnet Save
Been playing 4-5-1 counter most of the season didn't think I'd win many so the aim has been to stop the other team scoring, looking to change that next season though

Re: LoneRanger's Barnet Save
I haven't quite figured out how to get the best out of him yet but once I do League 2 won't know what hit it
Good enough for League 1 if I get promoted.

What that means is
Accrington and Torquay were relegated.

Re: LoneRanger's Barnet Save
Thanks Jela
For the 2011/12 season I've been given 100k transfer budget and 30.5k wage budget to fight bravely against relegation
Transfers
August 2011
Edit: Missed out a JPT game against Dagenham I won 3-1
I'm 5th currently and it's looking like that if I can keep Nei fit for the season I'll be safe he's got 6 goals in 5 starts this season ( he got 11 in 17 last season)

Re: LoneRanger's Barnet Save
He looks it from what I've seen so far, links up with my striker very Neicely ( ) and he's got a couple of goals too.
