    Manchester United 5 - 1 Plymouth
Manchester United are in the semi finals of the league cup after a rout against League one side Plymouth. It was the young Italian Federico Macheda who grabbed the headlines with 4 goals as he helped United to the semi finals. After twelve minutes United counter attack with Park Ji-sung running on the wing who's cross was deflected went into the path of Macheda who hit it on the half volley to score his first. Just 3 minutes later it was Macheda again, this time curled one from 30 yards leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. United weren't finished yet as Michael Owen got on the scoresheet aswell with a shot from outside the box. With United crusing at half time you would've expected them to put the foot off the gas but Macheda had other ideas. Just 21 seconds into the second half he found the back of the net thanks to a great lobbed pass from Michael Owen. Anderson then found the young 17 year old again who hit the ball on a left foot half volley to get his 6th of this competiton and United's 5th. Plymouth got one back after an error from Thomasz Kuszczak let Bradley Wright-Philips to score an open net but it meant nothing for Plymouth as they still ended up on the losing side of the heavy defeat. With this performance, Federico Macheda has proven his point to the manager that he wants a place in the starting XI at Manchester United.

    Manchester United 5 - 2 Liverpool
Manchester United defeated arch rivals Liverpool in a very entertaining game of football. Rio Ferdinand gave the red devils the perfect start, as he headed it home 2 minutes into the game. Just 7 minutes later, John O'shea picked out the winger Antonio Valencia, who danced pass the Liverpool defence before shooting the ball into the top corner, leaving Reina with no chance. Just over 20 minutes, Nani made it 3. A deflected Owen Hargreaves freekick fell to the Portugal international who rifeled it home with his left foot. But complacency got the better of United and Steven gerrard was there to head it home to make it 3-1. Two minutes later, Dirk kuyt was there to tap it in for 3-2 and re-ignite hope for the visitors. United made a change at half time, Wayne Rooney seemed like he was carrying a knock so the Bulgarian Dimitar Berbatov came on to replace him. And he took his chance. David Beckham picked out the 29 year old and he finished it in style by placing it in the top corner. The fans relaxed as their two goal cushion was restored. Then Manchester United had another corner, which led to a penalty as the referre gave Manchester United after Insua was caught pushing Nemanja Vidic and Owen Hargreaves dispatched to make it 5-2 and that's how it ended. A memorable day for the United fans and most importantly, another 3 points.

    Birmingham City 0 - 3 Manchester United
The on form red devils took on the struggling relegation fighter Birmingham city and exposed the backline's horrible defending time and time again. It took United a long time to finally take the lead but they did a minute right before half time, Owen Hargreaves scoring from the penalty spot after Berbatov was brought down. 4 minutes into the second half, Valencia found the net for the second time in 2 matches to give United the two goal lead. Everything was looking rosy for United but 7 minutes from time, Nemanja Vidic got sent off for a second bookable offence. Although this did not stop Manchester United adding another as Michael Owen scored with a well timed header from a cross of Antonio Valencia. United look untouchable with this form and it's looking like they're going to retain their title if they keep this up.

    Manchester United 1- 1 Bolton
A valiant disaplay from Bolton earned them a point at Old trafford and put the title race back on
Striker Federico Macheda gave the hosts the lead but they couldn't add to it and they were punished by Bolton as Muamba equalised. Excellent defending denied Manchester United and now they have lost their 2 point lead over Chelsea and only are first because of goal difference. However they have a game in hand.

    Fulham 2- 4 Manchester United
Manchester United staged a stunning comeback to go three points
clear at the top of the Premier League table with victory at Fulham. United's attempt to extend their unbeaten league sequence to 8 games
this season looked to be in shreds as the Londoners - managed by Roy Hodgson - roared into a fully deserved two-goal lead at the interval. At half time, the manager brung on David Beckham to replace the uneffective Hamsik, and it paid off. Just 26 seconds into the second half he picked out Dimitar Berbatov who was dissapointing this season so far but tucked it in the bottom corner to re-ignite the Manchester United hope. 10 Minutes later they were level. A deflected pass let the goal keeper unable to turn and save it and Dimitar Berbatov brough United level but the Bulgarian wasn't finished with Fulham yet as after another 10 minutes he found the back of the net again to grab his hat-trick and give United the lead. With momentum all with Manchester United, Fulham were unable to make opportunities and right at the death Wayne Rooney sealed it after a mistake by the goal keeper let him tap it in for an easy open net. A sensational comeback from Manchester United and they go 3 points clear at the top.

    Manchester City 1 - 3 Manchester United
The bragging rights belong to the Manchester United fans as they beat their local rivals Manchester City in a thrilling encounter. The struggling hosts didn't look that much of a threat in the first half but the same could've been said about Manchester United. But they managed to take the lead 2 minutes into added time in half time, a goal from an outrageous angle from David Beckham. Just 3 minutes into the second half though, Mirko Vucinic brought city level with a well timed finish but just 5 minutes later, substitute Michael owen found the net after Rooney's shot was saved, he was there to tap it in. It was Owen again, this time from a sensational strike from 35 yards smacking the crossbar and in. A great win for United.

    Manchester United 2 - 1 Burnley
Manchester United have earned another 3 points and the scoreline flatterned Burnley as Unite should've scored more. Anotonio Valencia gave Manchester United the lead in the 41st minute with a lovely goal with his left..yes LEFT foot. Valencia was involved again as he got the assist for Wayne Rooney who tapped it in an open net. Burnley got one back just seconds later but United weren't worried. Chances came but weren't taken. United now are 2 points clear of Chelsea who dropped points earlier today.

    Scunthorpe 0 - 4 Manchester United
Manchester United are through the next round of the FA cup after sweeping aside Championship side Scunthorpe. It was Michael Owen who was the hero as he hit a first half hattrick, 2 headers and a tight angeled goal before Zoran tosic added another in the second half with a well timed header. United will take on bitter rivals Leeds United in the next round of the FA cup.

Hull city 1- 2 Manchester United
It's another 3 points for United as they beat an on-form Hull city by 2 goals to 1. Altidore who has been on fantastic form lately gave the hosts the lead but the Champions responded in the second half. David Beckham found Wayne Rooney perfectly for him to score his first of the afternoon. Just a few minutes later it was Rooney again who scored and gave United the lead. The champions are now unbeaten in their last 13 league matches and have a 5 point lead at the top

    TREBLE WINNERS!
Glorious United crowned Premier league champions!
Manchester United secured their 19th championship in their history with victory at Old Trafford on a nerve-shredding final day of the season against Tottenham Hotspur.
United manager Jake Cole addressed the crowd at the end, thanking the supporters for their efforts in cheering the side to glory.

The goal from the deadly striker Wayne Rooney proved enough to give Cole's team the three points they needed to claim the crown, as second-placed Chelsea beat relegated Portsmouth 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

But throughout the 90 minutes the result was never totally secure and Tottenham, who had numerous chances, were never out of the match.
With United's edgy players missing a host of clearcut chances, Spurs continually threatened to snatch the draw that would have handed the trophy to their london rivals Chelsea.

But United hung on during a scrappy finale to take the first piece of silverware in their quest for an unprecendented treble of league, FA Cup and European cup.

The crucial goal came 7 minutes from time, as Rooney headed in his 41st goal of the season, which was the clinical goal.Chelsea fans were facing the odd experience of supporting their arch
rivals - and they can have no complaints as Tottenham proved tough
opposition for United to break down. But United prevailed as they held on to take their first step of the remarkable treble. Number 19 was just preparing the fans for a month they will never forget.

    United's road to Wembley!

It is staggering ot think that winning the FA cup has been the least of United's achievements this season -especially bearing in mind the obstacles they overcame on the road to Wembley. During their cup run Cole's team only faced non-Premiership opposition twice, one were the bitter rivals Leeds United and played two tough replays against local Rivals Manchester City.
Leeds, Scunthorpe, Manchester City, Everton, Bolton and West Ham were all despatched - if not always with
clinical finishing and more determination to succeed than their opponents.
In the final it was all about Manchester United as they faced a West ham united side that defeated league runners-up Chelsea on their way to Wembley. But there were no upsets this time. West Ham had no response to Manchester United's domination as they beat the Londoners 2-0, goals from Wayne Rooney and the captain Rio Ferdinand were enough to see off the hammers as United completed the double.

    United crowned kings of Europe!
A sensational scoreline, one that Manchester United fans will never forget as they beat the Spanish champions Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu 4-0 It was Wayne Rooney who was the man of the match as he hit a hat-trick in Spain and reached 45 goals for the season. It was expected that the former Manchester United star Ronaldo
would be the one to steal the show but the reds showed great determination to succeed more than the new Galacticos. The England international who has been in lethal form this season gave the red devils the lead after just 4 minutes on the clock. The game remained that way until the 62nd minute, where a horrible error from the Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas was caught napping and Rooney robbed him to find the open net. Just 4 minutes later Rooney again was involved in the action as Antonio Valencia, who grabbed the assists in the final nicked the ball of Sergio Ramos and Rooney took over. A fantastic low cross found the Portugal star Nani who slotted it home in the bottom corner. The fans could not believe it. 3-0 up against Real Madrid on their home soil was simply amazing but there was more to come. Nemanja Vidic, who was superb in the final by making crucial interceptions headed it down to Wayne Rooney who turned inside and left Pepe for dead. From outside the box he smashed it into the top corner, leaving Casillas with no chance and Rooney grabbed his hat-trick in the Champions League Final. The treble was complete. A season to never forget for the Manchester United fans and to all the doubters that said Jake Cole would not replace Sir Alex Ferguson have now turned to love him.
