Story so far..
Defending champions Manchester United started their new campaign with a 3-0 victory in the Community shield against Chelsea but they couldn't continue scoring on the opening day against local rivals Manchester City, but the reds got back to winning ways in a 3-0 win away from home against Burnley. United found the killer instinct to score twice in an unexpected difficult home match against relegation candidates Hull City. United's most thrilling match so far was a great comeback against Wolverhampton Wanderers where United found themselves 1-0 down thanks to a strike from Kevin Doyle, but showed some wonderful attacking football, mostly from Bulgaria captain Dimitar Berbatov, who brought United Level 5 minutes before half time. Nani then gave United the lead after a spectacular pass from David Beckham. Nani then finished the scoring with a 35 yard freekick 7 minutes from time. United's next opponents were struggling Chelsea at Old trafford and the red devils showed exactly why they are struggling. Edin Dzeko got on the scoresheet with just 6 minutes on the clock. Rooney then got his 3rd and 4th of the season as United completely destroyed Chelsea in the first 20 minutes to win by 3 goals to nil. United entered their Champions league campaign with high confidence and they continued to dominate possesion and score goals for fun as they ended up 4-0 winners against Romanian side Unirea Urziceni. Back to England and the premier league as Manchester United faced a tricky Everton side who were 4th in the table. But it was United who took the three points as they won 2-0, David Beckham scored his first goal since returning for the club. Ironically it was the same ground that Beckham last scored in a United shirt. The reds then took on Hull City in the 3rd round of the League cup, where United turned to their youngsters and they did not dissapoint. Zoran Tosic and Italian striker Macheda got on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win. Now United took on Aston Villa and they were the only team since Manchester City came to old trafford to take a point in a 2-2 draw.
