Coffee Drinking

How much coffee do you drink? I know that some people really have a problem with it. There was a guy I know who quit altogether because he was drinking 3 pots a day. When I drink a lot it's usually one 10-cup pot, but usually I drink around 6 cups a day.


I'm also curious to know if excessive coffee drinking is primarily an American thing or if folks from other countries do it as well.

Well I definitely have one every morning or whenever I wake up. But on average I probably have 3 cups of coffee a day.

Coffee is fucking shite without a pint of milk and twelve sugars.

I used to have them a fair bit at work but I got sick of making them for 5 or 6 people when I didn't even want one myself quite often so I sacked it off. Haven't had one for months, but yeah I used to have loads of milk and mountains of sugar.

I drank coffee once. Couldn't figure out how to work it.

Don't mind a cup, don't get me wrong. I got through spells though, were maybe I'll 2/3 cups a day for a period of a week or so and then there will be times that I don't touch it for weeks, months even. Can't remember the last time I had a cup actually. I'm the same with tea too.

Coke in the morning, midday, Coke in the evening, with alcohol here and there.

Hot drinks suck, except hot chocolate with biscuits.

Interesting to see so few enthusiasts. It's a daily ritual for myself.

Prefer Coffee, but normally make tea because it suits my mood. I drink 3 cups of tea a day, normally 1 cup of coffee every few days.

I'll drink more coffee when I'm at uni, I do generally like it but hardly ever have it. I'd go and make one now if it weren't nearly 2am. Usually have a cup of tea in the evening.

Not often really. But when I'm offered one I'll have it. I do probably prefer tea though.

Still surprised by the responses. Growing up my dad always had a pot going in the morning, and all of his brothers were the same. They'd always bring a thermos of coffee out on hunting trips or to the job sites. Guess maybe the culture is changing.
