I think there is no doubt that Nilo will replace Salcido. Unless a player comes out of nowhere Nilo is the best option. Although I can see Ponce challenging if he stops his defensive blunders.

Right now i think the Nilo has made the case for himself. Ponce has potential though, and to think, he's from Sacramento too.

Was going to make a thread to have the forum decide the Gold Cup's best goal but Gio yesterday made the whole thing be pretty pointless.

I'd choose Hernandez's flick because it was Hernandez.

Okay, I'll do it anyways.
I went through all the goals and have these.
Joel Campbell - Costa Rica vs. Cuba.

Omar Daley - Jamaica vs. Grenada.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQWdFrAdA7o#t=1m26s
Rodolfo Zelaya - Costa Rica vs. El Salvador.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZa9fNGHVxM&feature=related#t=3m40s
Eliseo Quintanilla - El Salvador vs. Cuba.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CwnR86uYrY&feature=related#t=8s
Andrés Guardado - Mexico vs. Costa Rica.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkXl9fOxocI#t=4s
Jozy Altidore - Guadeloupe vs. United States.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GixhRG5PK_Y
Javier Hernandez - Mexico vs. Guatemala.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtyGg4ucqWE
Giovani dos Santos - USA vs. Mexico
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFnc3PmVz2E
any other suggestions?
By the way, I want to mention that if I did my math correctly which I probably didn't, this Gold Cup saw 80 goals in 25 matches.
Someone needs to confirm if that's right.

Also would be nice if someone could make a sig of Howard crying when Gio scored
Would be nice if someone shoves a cactus up your ass sideways.

We know we are going to loose in the Copa America. Why do you keep bringing it up?
4-2 and 1-0 the same day must of been tough right?

Dude, do you think anyone expects us to do well in that tournament? I don't think anyone does but you keep bringing it up.Roloman4 wrote:Ya veremos cuanto se ríen este mes que viene.
The team that is going to Copa America is barely even a Mexico B team, it's like a C + team.
You just mad cause we beat you twice in one night. Having both Ecuador and the US lose to Mexico on the same night must of made you bitter.

Re: 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup
I just want Marco Fabian to have a good Copa America. If we manage to do anything in that tournament I think he'll be the key man. He's sort of been the protagonist of the friendlies Mexico has been playing. Probably our best player in that squad, at least I think so.

Oh shit, forgot about Gio.
Okay, Marco Fabian is our second best player going to Copa America.

Shokrun habibi?
Is that Arabic? I know you live in, Kuwait, is it, or UAE? Or Qatar? Bah, I know it's one of those, do you happen to speak Arabic?

Gio, Marco, and Jonathan should be the main guys. Still hoping we get to the second round at least.

Gio and Fabian are definitely the most talented players in the squad. I think if we can expect anything it would be a new batch of players going to European teams. Getting out of the group stages is probably the goal they have.

Couldn't find one. One needs to be created since we are already done beasting the CONCACAF.
