    They would and they'd dominate you, Vidic and Lucio will be doing nothing as Messi drops back into midfield and there's no-one to link your midfield and attack.

    I haven't, I think he's overrated big time and his passing is poor but he'd suited to what I'd want in midfield for the one off game.

    didnt Portugal crunch Spain somewhat recently? I can probably think of a better midfielder though like maybe Yaya or Schweinsteiger as you put. I think Meireles is classy though.

    You need players who can dribble through that wave of pressure, keep a cool head, pick the right passes and not lose the ball. Man Utd had only one player who could do that (Rooney) and thats why they were useless. Also pace hurts them.
