Liverpool spent £50m-£65m on two young English players who for that price you'd expect to be superstars....but they're not.

That's ok though.....they might be amazing young prospects who are likely to be superstars in the future......but they're not.

In the end though, you're not seriously disregarding a partnership due to losing 2 goals in one game...one of which was understandably them needing to go forward to score....and a goal for the opposition would just be a meaningless statistic.

But yeah, whatever the scenario no defensive partnership keeps a cleansheet every game. Kept a good defence against Spain....only caught out by a hand ball
