There are far, far too few top football clubs and players for a genuine market to exist, so that it may be predictable like this.

Though there are some ridiculous things like how some complete flops in the Polish league cost 1m whilst top class players cost like 400-500k.
age and form
also could be lack of recent updates
if you hover your cursor over the arrow next to player value, it'll show you when they last updated player value for that player. for the more popular leagues they update 2-3 times a year. polish league and other leagues they might not update as often

This site is a plot by the Germans to undermine the civilized Western world and create a new world, communist order. Don't use it.

Re: transfermarkt.co.uk
I was just wondering, how accurate would you consider this to be?
Is it proper statistical valuations or is it just some people with a decent knowledge of football making guesses.

Gradel £660,000, behave.
EDIT: In April 2010 he was worth £198,000. October 2010 a couple of months into the new season, it shot up to £660,000. So I suppose if they looked at the whole season they would shoot it up again to somewhere near the expected mark.

Combination of the two, it's a guide for very rough estimations, it's not accurate.

Is the information about the players posted by people who have inside knowledge of the player, or just by other fans like us.ResurrectionRooney wrote:cheesy wrote:I was just wondering, how accurate would you consider this to be?

If it is the latter, I would really be questioning the accuracy of the information about the players as it would be complete guesswork.

Re: transfermarkt.co.uk
I'm looking at different clubs and players, and I'm wondering how Belgian league players can be that much more worth than Danish league players. Negotiators are probably better there, but the leagues are the same level, so to make a comparison: Defour vs Claudemir - The Belgian is valued at €12M, while the Brazilian is valued at €3M. If I'm not mistaken (and I know in the case of Claudemir), they're both talented central midfielders, but is Defour that much better? I guess no. Being an EU citizen, you'd probably be worth a bit more on the market, but four times? Did anyone watch Claudemir and FCK in general play Champions League football, or are Danish clubs just that shit at negotiating sales? I don't understand this.
(Also, Andreas Bjelland's price is severely underrated. Knowing FCN right, he won't got for less than €2M)

I doubt fans would have the required knowledge to be able to post certain information on that site.cheesy wrote:Is the information about the players posted by people who have inside knowledge of the player, or just by other fans like us.ResurrectionRooney wrote:cheesy wrote:I was just wondering, how accurate would you consider this to be?

From what I know, it's a professional site done with people who know what they are talking about.

Thanks for clearing it up. Seems like quite a reliable site if that is true.Marvin wrote:I doubt fans would have the required knowledge to be able to post certain information on that site.cheesy wrote:Is the information about the players posted by people who have inside knowledge of the player, or just by other fans like us.ResurrectionRooney wrote:cheesy wrote:I was just wondering, how accurate would you consider this to be?

It is guesswork, just slightly educated guesswork. They certainly don't have insider information from all of the clubs in the world.
