Gonna get ripped for this but Beckham isn't really a noticeable improvement on Gerrard when it comes to crossing.

I wasn't even joking. In open play(Gerrard for some reason can't translate it to corners and free kicks), Beckham isn't any better a crosser than Gerrard is.

That's what I had in mind. I do wonder if the best passers around would be better crossers than Beckham if they were moved out wide but who knows.

Meh, whenever he plays for England Gerrard 90% of the time seems to just smash it and hope it hits an England player.
It was slightly excusable when Gerrard was told to stay back but now it's just dire.
