When I was talking to some of the fans I think they prefer Podolski (to be captain), and Geromel dosen't seem that vocal to me. But this is my first season of watching Bundesliga.

Yeah Poldi is a club legend for them because he left for Bayern in 2006 and went back to Köln three years after, pretty loyal guy. He was made captain in January but the new coach gave the armband to Geromel.
