2011 Toulon Tournament

U21 competition held every summer in Toulon, France. Always worth a watch. Starts tomorrow at 10:00EST which is about 3/4 pm GMT. A couple of teams in the U20 WC are in this, so they will be trying to get some match experience.

Taking a calculated guess at the squads some players to look out for:

James Rodriguez, Sebastian Arias, Manga, Edwin Cardona (All Colombia), Alexandre Lacazette, Griezmann (Both France), Beretta, El Sharawy, D'Alessandro (All Italy)

What the fuck? Between the Gold Gup roster and the U-22 Copa America roster I can imagine the kind of players in this Mexican team.

Works now, Paloschi need to prove something for Italy this tournament.

Lacazette and Griezmann weren't picked in the French squad, Griezmann's excluding makes perfect sense because he doesn't seen such a low key tourney to raise his stature as he is already playing first team football for Real Socidad, Lacazette was a hit at the U19 world cup last year so why isn't he in this squad, if the likes of Tafer and Monrose are in why isn't he.

The Italian team looks strong.

Schneiderlin scored a couple in this tourney last year.

Hope he's in the squad again, but Saints haven't said anything.
