So.. Top of the group stages, far exceeded expectations. We're still shit, but who's been our best player so far? I've mainly listed the players that start and have played the most games.

Gerrard for me. Been impressed with Lescott too, though.

Me and Scott tipped Gerrard to carry us. Then everyone cried at lack of Lampard.

Parker. Doing the midfields defensive job all by himself.

Probably Gerrard. Assists in each match, don't think he's overall been too brilliant though. Him and Parker's (and obviously others) ball retention makes me sick.
Lescott, Terry, and Cole have done well too.

Tough call. The back four has been okay, but they all looked shaky against Sweden. Parker has been exposed a bit, but he is still our little warrior. Gerrard has had his moments, but still seems to go missing. Young has been disappointing, after two solid friendly displays. Milner has been solid and average. Carroll scored a great goal and did nothing particularly wrong in his five minute performance tonight.
Welbeck, maybe, just because he scored the winning goal against Sweden and gave the French a few scares. Again, he has not even been that great, either.

Gerrard has done all of his good work in advanced positions though, which is what everyone was saying.Jord wrote:Me and Scott tipped Gerrard to carry us. Then everyone cried at lack of Lampard.

He's hardly been defending the whole midfield by himself. Though I admit, I think he's up there with Cole and Gerrard.goonsidious wrote:Parker. Doing the midfields defensive job all by himself.

And Glen, can't let the few errors taint his overall performance.

Just trying to find a reason not to say Gerrard tbh.

If you read the OP then you'd understand why he's not on it, plus he was shit today.ViVaRooney wrote:where is Rooney on the poll

Joe Hart I think, he may look shaky but I can't picture Robinson or Green doing the same and not conceding

Gerrard, and though he didn't really do much today I've been really impressed with Welbeck.

Not really, he had an average shot that should have been saved, one good assist and another set up, he hasn't played enough.Jord wrote:Suppose Walcott could of been on there..

Theo's played about the same amount of minutes as Rooney

Wow, you were able to predict that if you came in and asked a moronic question everyone would answer you telling you why it's moronic? OHHHHH YOU'VE GOT US!!!! Can't believe what you've done there, you've predicted that? Absolute fucking genius, GENIUS.ViVaRooney wrote:god this forum is so predictable

Gerrard and Lescott have impressed me most.

Lescott? Terry has been better than him.

The back four hasn't been bad, Gerrard alright as well and Welbeck has shown glimpses of class but other then that not great. Hart is pretty reliable back there as well.

Gerrard and Joe Hart, for me. I do feel that Rooney could potentially end up being our most important player though.

Steven Gerrard, easily. He's one of the few players who's been able to do something positive with the ball, and his set pieces have been quite tremendous.
