I don't have to explain myself, it's basic knowledge. You are the one who needs to back up your frankly laughable statement.Filippo Inzaghi wrote:Dont worry SBSP he cant explain why

With half a season each in charge...
Hodgson did shit
Dalglish did good
Dalglish > Hodgson

Hogdson has taken Fulham to the Europa League final and saved West Brom. Saying he's better tactically may not be right, but it's hardly laughable.Jay wrote:I'll explain...Filippo Inzaghi wrote:Dont worry SBSP he cant explain why

On top of other achievements SBSP has listed, Hogdson has head to head tactically outsmarted him already in the season just gone as proven with the WBA 2 - 1 Liverpool result.ricky//habana wrote:I don't have to explain myself, it's basic knowledge. Hodgson has never been able to spend nowhere near to what Kenny has. Kenny spent 60 million in the january transfer window but he only has a slightly better record than Royricky//habana wrote:And dalglish has won the league as a manager with two different clubs. Sit down, shut up.

Let's leave it at this: Dalglish is better at managing good teams, but Roy is better at managing smaller teams.

That's probably because top clubs who are far better placed to make a decision on a manager than you are do not consider him a high class manager, not after he had his chances. Keep trying though, i'm enjoying this

Hmm, but has Dalglish managed a small team to make that judgement?

Hodgson also made some very good signings, signing the Fans player of the year - Raul Meireles. He made a good signing in Poulsen and he finally got that confidence in Ngog. Unfortunately when it started to get sticky the following players were devoid of any confidence thanks to the fans:ricky//habana wrote:That's probably because top clubs who are far better placed to make a decision on a manager than you are do not consider him a high class manager, not after he had his chances. Konchesky
Poulsen
Ngog
Jovanovic
Cole
Kyriagkos
Its shocking really how any set of fans can have that much impact upon a players confidence.

Bollocks. Absolute Bollocks, all of it. "He made a good signing in Poulsen."
Says all I, or anyone else, needs to hear.

The point is if Hodgson can spend small amounts of money wisely and Dalglish throws away 35 million on a striker who has the technical ability similar to Ruben Zadkovich, then surely my point stands

No, you still fail, why? Because you are repeatedly dragging in signings, (even though carroll's spent most of his time injured) when we are talking about the better tactician. Keep trying though, i'm enjoying this quite a bit.

I have already explained why he is better tactically. You dont have to be tactically spot on to win the league. OK, he spends £35m on an injury prone striker with similar technique to Ruben Zadkovich, better?

Not exactly injury prone, just from having two injuries after not fully recovering from the first, and if Fillipo thinks that one game means he is better tactically, he's just stupid.

Wolves beat Manchester United this season. Does this mean Mick McCarthy is better tactically than Fergerson?
Does it fuck. Fergerson shits all over McCarthy (no disrespect to him).
Same with Daglish and Hodgson.

If Dalglish is Mccarthy and Hodgson is Ferguson in this analogy in terms of management ability then i would agree.Mr Leiva wrote:Filippo Inzaghi wrote:On top of other achievements SBSP has listed, Hogdson has head to head tactically outsmarted him already in the season just gone as proven with the WBA 2 - 1 Liverpool result.ricky//habana wrote:I don't have to explain myself, it's basic knowledge. That would be pretty fair Theo, especially considering that Ferguson beat McCarthy one more time than McCarthy beat Ferguson this season (2-1) similar to the record between Hodgson and Dalglish (1-0)
