9 years
9 years ago Wimbledon was moved to Milton Keynes. 9 years ago, AFC Wimbledon rose from the ashes, 9 years it took to build a football club, in 9 years they have had 8 promotions, and after 9 years, AFC Wimbledon are finally in the Football League.
It really is a fairytale.

Re: 9 years
Wimbledon's captain is crying Commentator was saying how his parents were life-long Wimbledon ticket holders and he grew up watching the old Wimbledon. Must be absolutely amazing moment for him, best day of his life!
The celebrations are nice as well, the fans and players are ecstatic!

Re: 9 years
i have a feeling wimbledon could do well next year.
every promoted club from the conference has done well recently ie oxford just missed out on the playoffs and stevenage are in the playoff final with torquay who only got promoted in 2009.
Good luck to em anyway

Re: 9 years
5 promotions in 9 years btw.
But Well Done, would love to see them reach the Premier League one day... as long as it wasn't at the expense of Forest!
Deffo gonna do a Career Mode with them on Fifa next year

Would be interesting to see AFC Wimbledon vs MK Dons in a few years maybe, or next year in the cup even.

I hope they pass each other rather than play each other. Disaster waiting to happen if they meet I reckon.
Also Wimbledon fans don't want to face them either.

It felt strange going to the Dons game against Peterborough last Sunday and the Wimbledon game today.

Re: 9 years
Sounds like something I'd hear from Clive Tyldesly before Manchester United vs Wimbledon in the FA Cup 3rd round. Then right before kick off he goes:
"Here we go. Magic of the FA Cup"

Re: 9 years
I wish that FC United of Manchester was going into the Football League right now but the last few years they have stalled and have not had any promotions. I think they are one level below the Conference North and South.

If Wimbledon ever face MK Dons, no Wimbledon fans would go.

Awesome, last I checked it was 0-0 midway into extra time. Brilliant that they've done it yet again.

Luton should of had a penalty and the keeper should have been off.

Re: 9 years
I just watched a video from 2004 of a man saying he'd be happy if AFC Wimbledon reached League 2 within 15 years. This must be beyond their wildest dreams.

Wouldn't it be funny if someone bought AFC Wimbledon and moved them to Scotland or something
