Tevez is consistently better than Rooney's average performance.
Rooney is also overrated because he's English. If he was Argentinean he wouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as Tevez.

Then again, Tevez and his bulldog like approach is very tempting
Rooney did that last season, and scored 34.
Yeah but as Zzonked pointed out, Tevez also has the ability to create goalscoring opportunities out of nothing.

Rooney's goal scoring ability, his superb range of passing and his amazing workrate separates him from Tevez who has just got good scoring ability and and a good workrate. Tevez wishes he was as good as Rooney.
Not only does Rooney just score goals he creates them aswell unlike Tevez.
lol.
Maybe I could of worded that better, both Tevez and Rooney have amazing workrates.
I knew what you meant, but I just found it funny how there was a bit that said his work rate was the difference.

Rooney no contest, and anyone else who has watched these two pro's over the ears and isnt biased woul say the same thing. Rooney brings so much more than just goals. Ancelotti said he would take Rooney over Messi

Tevez has scored spectacular individual goals in the past. Anyway, i would prefer Rooney overall, but i'm just saying that Tevez can produce some moments of genius in front of goal.

Re: Rooney vs Tevez
Everyone goes for Messi but I would take Rooney," he told the Daily Mail.
"Messi is out of this world and maybe he is reaching the level of Maradona.
"Rooney, however, is closer to the reality of football. He puts his talent out to the rest of the team and this explains the difference between players and outstanding players."
That's actually what Ancelotti said.

That's almost as stupid as Gerrard saying Cole can do things with the ball that Messi can't do.

Rooney. Both are hard-working and have the ability to create and score goals, but Rooney is more versatile and has more to his game.

Re: Rooney vs Tevez
What the fuck does that even mean? 'Rooney is closer to the reality of football', maybe he walked into a poetry competition.
Anyway, as you'd expect I'm going for Rooney, last season he played the role that Tevez is playing this season and Rooney was better, this season he's playing the role Tevez played at United and he's still better. Call it bias, but when Rooney was 18 months away from being able to leave, Ferguson pulled out all the stops to sign him, he didn't even cough up £25m to sign Tevez until about a month before he was allowed to leave.

Don't think Tevez deserves to win this. On his best form Rooney is one of the best players in the world. Very unique and complete. Tevez on his best form is a very good striker but has less.. What would be the word? Traits than Rooney.
