So winning two meaningless cups where teams in south america send their 2nd teams to play in means you're better on the world stage, haha funny!

Liverpool have won the biggest trophy in the world 5 times, some teams which have gone down in history as the best ever have been unable to win it twice in a row.

Don't normally agree with Fonseca, but I do here.

No one really takes the Club World Cup seriously. At the end of December, where the fixtures are clogging up, and travelling to the other side of the world to play some meaningless trophy. It's more of a pain in the arse!

That's bullshit, look at the teams the European Clubs send to that tournament. They treat it with maximum seriousness, so do the South American clubs.

South American teams are noted for taking the CWC VERY seriously, what are you guys on? Inter took it seriously, Barcelona took it seriously, So did Milan when they beat Boca a while back. And of course the North American, Asian, and African sides take it seriously, no idea where you guys are getting the basis of your arguments from.

One of their fans bought a ticket to the game yesterday just to put a banner up, which was probably up for less than 5 seconds. Not obsessed my arse Laughing

Up their arses, it's impossible for Liverpool to recognize the CWC as anything more than a friendly match because they've never won it.

No, being World Champion isn't important or meaningful at all. Be honest, you're only saying that because you've never won it, it's an incredibly insular and euro-centric attitude.

BS man, don't compare the CWC to the CS because to qualify you have to win another competition. The CWC (and predecessor the Intercontinental Cup) are great tournaments that showcase the worlds best/most popular clubs in a serious setting. On it's own is it harder to win than the EC? In most cases no, but that doesnt mean it's a tin pot trophy.

Champions League is special, CWC isn't. CWC, is a just a 'nice' to top it off, but has nothing on the Champions League.

Anyway that is my opinion, you think different. Fair enough.

Exactly. I've seen various Liverpool fans react to every single bit of smack that Man Utd has thrown their way. Just take your medicine. Did you honestly expect Man Utd fans to not talk some shit after taking over the record. Hopefully, you'll win the next two and you can give some back.

    What's your definition of seriousness?

My definition of seriousness is not playing with Gudjohnson, Giuily, Motta, Zambrotta, Ezquerro

Subbing on Xavi, Yaya Toure, Maldini, Inzaghi on late

Leaving out Cafu, Iniesta, Gourcuff ecttt

The list goes on... and I'm picking random names
