Uefa has opened disciplinary cases against both Real Madrid and Barcelona following their ill-tempered Champions League semi-final clash on Wednesday.
"The case against Real Madrid is in relation to the throwing of missiles, a pitch invasion, the red card shown to Pepe, the dismissal of coach José Mourinho, as well as the inappropriate statement given by Mr Mourinho to the media after the match," said Uefa.
The case against Barcelona relates to the red card show to reserve goalkeeper José Pinto in a melee as the teams returned to their dressing rooms at half-time. Both cases will be heard by the Uefa Control and Disciplinary Body on 6 May.
Mourinho, talking after his team were beaten 2-0 at home in a controversial first leg of their semi-final, accused Barcelona of unfair influence in European football and said their coach, Pep Guardiola, should feel "ashamed". Madrid's coach accused Barcelona of wielding untouchable power in European football and said their coach, Pep Guardiola, should feel "ashamed" if he wins a competition that "yet again" is engulfed in "scandal".
The Portuguese claimed his red card and that handed to his defender Pepe were unjustified, and that this was not the first time Barcelona's opponents have been singled out for unfair punishment. He added that he would not say what he "really thinks" because he feared a life ban, but said he felt "disgusted" to be working in football.

I'd be stunned if Mourinho wasn't punished in some way Potato, you can't insinuate corruption and not get punished.

So what, Barcelona wasnt punished? Typical UEFA, punishing Barcel instead. Small clubs always get the shaft.

It doesn't matter if he's being bitter, if he talks about the incidents properly no one would hear. The nicest comment I can give to the ref is that he was was clearly unexperienced

Pinto should get a three-match-ban imo, but there were Real functionaries involved in the fight as well, as you can see on the picture who should be fined as well.

The ref was pretty inexperienced though which is sorta pathetic for a match this big.

How dare they accuse Barfa of cheating? They are the most humble and respectful players ever.
EDIT: guess this is worthy of a thread.

Real are reporting Barca for unsportsmanlike behaviour
Good luck with that.

I hate Mourinho so much. I've never heard him whine so much.
Both clubs deserve this. Any person who says only one team deserves it needs to take off their tinted glasses.
