Ronaldo, Higuain, Benzema v Messi, Sanchez, Fabregas

    Goals: 107 v 91
    Assists: 35 v 50

Which trio is more deadly in your opinion?

It's even, on one side you have basically 3 forwards (I mean there's Ronaldo, but come on -- either way, you expect a big goal total) vs one forward and two attacking midfielders (who you would expect to have a greater assist total) and that's the truth on both sides, Real's 3 has 17 more goals, Barca's 3 has 16 more assists, so it's a push.

David Villa needs to leave Barca I see. Gone from being the best striker in the world, to playing not just second fiddle, but third to Sanchez and Fabregas Laughing

Anyway, the most deadly Trio is anything involving Messi.

Villa's injured yeah but he wouldn't get past both Alexis or Cesc anyway when he's fit. Been on the bench most of the time before his injury too.

Villa only had himself to blame for being out of the team due to his shit performances.

Has Villa's form really dipped that much over the last couple of years?

It has, at least on paper, but the real problem is probably that he's being played out wide and not as a main striker anymore. Not really the best way to utilize one of the best goalscorers in the world.

He was fine last season, could have done with being more clinical and less offside but he was good, this season he was fucking terrible though, his finishing technique seemed to be aim straight at the keeper and hope you miss him, but he was playing most of the season with a dodgy leg, he had a stress fracture on some part of his leg which he played through, so it obviously affected him, not sure whether that had anything to do with his broken leg. He and Pedro have definitely been missed this season though, cesc isnt a forward and Alexis isnt half as clinical as they were last seaason.

Also Benz and Pipita have been far better throughout the season than Alexis and Cesc, Messi is carrying them stats, but the Madrid strikers seem to be going through a poor patch at the moment, be intresting to see if Alexis and Cesc can catch them whilst theyre off form.

If you had 3-on-3 games with Messi playing with any two players and Ronaldo playing with clones of those two same players, Messi's team would win every single time. Cool
