Highest Paid Athletes

Here is a nice article that was posted on ESPN which details the highest paid athletes from 182 countries. There are quite a few soccer players on the list. I am still amazed that Yaya Toure is making £213,439.77 per week which is almost on par with Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

But Yaya Toure isn't.

Depends. At one point Michael Schumacher made $80M in one year from endorsements and racing. Auto racing has sicks amounts of cash in it.

Yeah it's crazy. Alex Rodriguez has had two contracts that exceeded $250M over the duration of the contract. Basically 17 years and $500M+ once its all said and done. That's excluding endorsements, etc. Albert Pujols is going to probably get about $250-275M after this season ends and he signs a new deal.

Some baseball players could afford to buy football clubs.

And the only reason Tevez makes more from club is because he plays for the drunken sailor of clubs. There are two city players on that list, both overpaid.
