    Messi needs one more to reach fifty goals this season, which is a phenomenal feat.

    I know Suarez scored 49 last season, and that Henrik Larsson scored 53 in 2000-2001. not worthy Though that's in the Scottish league. Rolling Eyes shifty

    Has anyone scored over 50 in all competitions since then?

    34 > 50.

    Because it was in the premier league and 1 premier league goal = 2 La Liga goals.

    Matthew Tubbs for Crawley Town might be close. He has 37 league goals with 3 games left to play. Not sure if he had any goals in other competitions or not?
