he disappears too much for my liking, he's a good playmaker but a tad overrated.

Wouldn't really define him as a playmaker tbh.

he's good when he has the ball..is what I am trying to say..but he is slowish and we don't really have a position for him to be frank. It's all about our midfield..we play Modric as a center mid which he really isn't but it's because he works better there then the likes of Palacios, Jenas, etc.

van der Vaart started well but has tailed off recently. I think with a full pre-season with us he'll be much fitter next year and hopefully play better more often because of it. There is no doubt he has added quality to our midfield. Is he world class? Considering world class is thrown around way too much, no he isn't. Is he quality? Yes he is.

I think he can offer a lot and will be a regular fixture in a team like Tottenham. However as we have seen, the next level club for example Real Madrid he doesn't seem to have what it tales physically or mentally. Özil for his age is on another level completely and will only get better, van der Vaart as has been proven is too inconsistent with his performances and drifts in and out of games at ease it seems.

He'll be at Euro 2012 next summer, so I don't think he'll have a full preseason.

Just seeing all these threads this forum was more fun when Jamie and Aaron were around, too many phaggots on here now and lack of intelligent posters which makes me troll in the end aswell as there's no point in having a proper discussion.
