Re: PFA Player of the Year nominees
Good list that. Adam or Bale for me.
No, I'm joking. Piss poor list.
But what did we expect after the whole Ryan Giggs debate back in 2009? It doesn't surprise me. It's a fucking joke of an award, as Jamie said, this pretty much proves our argument.
Adam,Bale or Parker, I'll put my fucking life on it.

I was thinking that, the Token Britsih guys.dena wrote:Fine Shagger wrote:Quite possibly the worst nominees for this award I've ever seen
It is. You get the feeling they just wanted it to be British. No idea what Charlie Adam has done do deserve it, so overrated, not sure Bale deserves it either, need to look at the stats again.

Re: PFA Player of the Year nominees
I know we all love an underdog in the UK, but if Adam or Parker win it, it's fucking ridiculous. It's bad enough Nani isn't in it, and to make it even worse, Bale is in it, and one of main factors - his 'destruction' of Maicon in Europe...
I'm not being funny, but there is a reason these players are playing for relegation scrapping teams, unless they have been out of this world outstanding, which neither of them have, they shouldn't win it. But, it will end up: Parker - Player of the year. Bale - Young player of the year. When it should be Nani/Nasri - Player of the year. Wilshere - Young player of the year.
I wonder who will get manager of the year anyway. NOne of them seem like they really deserve. But I think it will end up being Ferguson because of the unbeaten run.

Most footballers watch a recorded video of the whole match of every game played at their club by their coaches and he highlights any little thing they did wrong so they improve.
As usual English bias in the list no suprise there like last year Milner winning young player award. Its been like this for a few years now most non English players probably dont even give a fuck about this award.

They should do what they do in Mexico, make an award for the Best British player of the year and another one for the Best foreign Player of the year. That way no one feels excluded and no one's feeling are hurt.

I don't think you got what I meant, lets say players from Bolton, Wolves, Wigan, Arsenal.. how do they know more than us about Bale, Nani, Tevez?grenade187 wrote:kyro7 wrote:The players know fuck all more than us, they're playing a game while people who are up for this are playing, they only get to see motd so how the fuck would they know.

They don't, because they probably watch less of them than us.

Wilshere should hands down be the Young Player of the Year without a doubt.
Nasri gets my nod for the Player of the Year.

Nani should get the player of the year ahead of Nasri and Vidic.

Doesn't matter who "should", he isn't in it so I don't really factor him in at all. Had he not been excluded then I would have agreed, but he isn't so that's that.

Re: PFA Player of the Year nominees
So you can't make up your own mind who should get it and let other people exclude players from your own view? If Walcott had done for us what Nani has done for United this season he would probably win it.AriseForLife wrote:kyro7 wrote:Nani should get the player of the year ahead of Nasri and Vidic.

What a fucking list.
Vidic from there by a mile. No Nani is a "fucking disgrace" though.

Re: PFA Player of the Year nominees
I don't see why everyones moaning. I think it's a good list and can't think of anyone who's been alot better than the players chosen. It's voted by the players so no wonder Nani's not in it, why would they want to vote someone who acts like he's been shot after every tackle.
I think Scott Parker deserves it. Don't see how people are moaning about him not playing for a big club. Most of the big clubs have been below their best this year and we haven't really seen any major stand out performers like Rooney last year.
Parker though has pulled all the strings in a struggling West Ham side, played through injury and is pretty much looking like he'll keep West Ham up single handedly.
I'd much prefer him to win it than Nani

Bale ahead of Nani made me laugh my arse off. Bale hasn't even done anything in 2011. Charlie Adam too.

Sad really. Taken a spot from someone more deserving of the award.

I was joking but really it's not. In fantasy football you get points for contributing assists and goals.

Re: PFA Player of the Year nominees
Yes, the two stats that you can have in fantasy football as a midfielder/forward.
Doesn't take into account how well you played, and how much you contributed other than on goals. Tackles, passing, crossing, defending, all overlooked in fantasy games.

Re: PFA Player of the Year nominees
But Bale hasn't done anything this season even if you took away stats. He knocks the ball ahead of him then runs. He's being overhyped because of the hat trick against Inter. It's a farce and a complete joke that he's there ahead of Nani.
I would of had Nolan instead of Adam too.
