What's the world's best league?
Premier League for me. A lot more competitive, entertaining and exciting than the others.

Same with Scott's Liverpool player vs Chelsea player threads.

For me the best leagues to watch are
Serie A > La Liga > EPL > Bundesliga > Ligue 1
Serie A > La Liga > EPL > Bundesliga > Ligue 1

La Liga definitely. The English league has really took a big turn for the worse these last 2-3 seasons, this season has to rank as the worst in the history of the Premiership(probably before that too if football existed before 1992)

Liverpool play in the Premier League. Therefore, to me, it's the only league that matters.

Agreed. Much more exciting than Premier League.Forest wrote:nPower Championship.
While we are at it, Ekstraklasa and Eredivisie aren't bad at all too watch. Especially with the atmosphere Polish and Dutch fans create.

It's Championship standard, however the insane atmosphere Polish fans make, make even boring ties between two bottom table sides very exciting.
Plus the teams are usually so even in terms of squad quality, at the start of the season about 10 or so teams out of 16 can potentially challenge for the title. Jagiellonia Bialystok was leading the table for the whole fall season, and only now one of the leagues 4 'big teams' my team, Wisla Krakow, has overtaken them for first.
I'd say even though Ekstraklasa is sub-standard, the football sometimes is a bit amateurish (ie what you'd expect from Championship sides) the league itself is exciting.

Re: What's the world's best league?
-Barca and Real are the only world class teams, Valencia, Villareal and Sevilla on their day are close to world class, but in England there's ManUtd, ManCity, Chelsea, Arsenal are surely world class, Tottenham and Liverpool maybe.El Pipita wrote:Gegilworld93 wrote:Whatever , btw the plural of Emo is Emos, not Emo'sEl Pipita wrote:You're such a retard, English forum, EPL wins, Neutral forum La Liga wins. -Players basically the same.
-Football depends on the individual taste, really. La Liga is slower and more technical, Premiership is fast and physical.

La Liga isn't even close to being number one. I don't deny that La Liga have some terrific players and two of the most entertaining sides there is in world football, but as a "league" it just isn't anywhere near competetive enough, nor is the quality further down the table high enough for it to grab a "best league" position. "Best two horse league race in the world" sure, but not a "best leauge".
As to answer the question I personally prefer the Premier League, but that's most likely because of my Bias towards Manchester United. I'm just going to say the Champions League

-No, no, no, no, no, no. Messi, Ronaldo, Villa, Xavi, Iniesta, Pique, Casillas, Alonso, Alves etc etc etc. Most premier league stars have left.

Are you serious? Yeah the football is attractive, but the level of competition pales in comparison to the Prem....but in the end, this isn't going to go anywhere being that this has been discussed numerous times and people are going to like what they like.

Isn't it funny that all of those "great players" play on two teams? Makes it really interesting for the other 18.
