Different game now. You have to be more of an athlete than you did back then.

Yeh if you listen to old guys in football the main thing they say thats different with todays game is its so fast. Back in the 70's each player wouldn't cover 10km a match like they do now.Dan wrote:coolhead33 wrote:Still shouldn't make a massive difference. The players were a lot tougher than as well. Has no impact. All players then were out drinking, smoking, eating fish and chips after games. And played at a much lower pace.

Scuba Steve wrote:Hmm.... that is probably labeling him too soon. But his winner against South Africa and equalizer against Argentina at the age of 18 does indicate that he has the potential to rival the best American born striker ever, Giuseppe Rossi.

No, I mean, wasn't Agudelo born in Colombia?.
Scuba Steve wrote:Oh shit. Yeah haha. Sod it. He'll be the best striker to have ever been developed in the USA...
Rei wrote:Wilshere shouldn't IMO. He has already a shoe in for the senior team. Give him spot to another player who has to prove himself. Plus, Wilshere has been playing constantly for Arsenal, a full summer's break would do him some good.
Carrol on the other hand should go.
