hey u guys know those former players who became managers, who philosophy on managing their clubs in terms of tactics and structure that are completely the opposite to the way they played as a player?

for instance, roberto donadoni was one of the most skillful players in history and always loved attacking and etertainment when he was a player...but as a coach he discourages individualism and promotes direct long ball play?

mancini is another one, a brilliance striker, loved to attack when he was a player and once said to win games u must attack, but at all the clubs he managed he is very defensive coach

    what others?

It's easier to defend than to attack. The reason these guys changed their views is because they are shit managers.

Anyhow, Riccardo Ferrettie comes to mind.

Tuca was a goal scoring winger, but most of his teams are strong in defense. That's what he's known for.

Morten Wieghorst. Hard working fighter on the central midfield, with a team that plays technical attacking football, but when it isn't going well, the team doesn't fight as much as they should at times.

The qualities that make somebody a good player are not always going to be the same qualities that make them a good manager. It's like apples and oranges and for most of the mentioned names, I would imagine that it took some hard lessons for them to develop the managing styles that they use today.
