I think you should send him out for one more season. He'll be 21 by the end of next season and that will be perfect to bring him into the side. Hard one. He's getting some good playing time at Sunderland, something he might lack if he comes back with the Hernandez - Rooney partnership getting stronger.
Depends what we do with Macheda and Diouf, if we sell them or keep one with us. Although, Welbeck can play LM, a position we have lacked with injuries.
I reckon he'll come back if we get rid of Owen. Then have Hernandez, Rooney, Berbatov and Welbeck. I would then be tempted to loan Sunderland Macheda. Our players always do well at Sunderland on loan - Evans (well, he was good, just shit atm) and Welbeck.

Not a great game to watch, not been too impressed with Carroll so far. Keeps losing the ball when it's at his feet, but then again, Sunderland are playing with such high pressure. Suarez keeps looking for a pass but no one is making any good runs. We don't deserve to be 1-0 up, although I was surprised to see when the stats came up that we had about 5 shots and 4 on target, compared to their zero shots on target. Maybe it isn't as bad as we think. The penalty decision was kind of weird, at first glance I thought it was on the line, so it could have gone either way, then the Ref pointed for a free kick and I didn't feel hard-done by because it didn't look inside the box, then suddenly, the Ref pointed at the spot and I was like, whaaaaat?! I reckon Spearing took a bit of a dive too. Never a penalty.

Spearing didn't take a dive, it was a freekick not a penalty. Not sure why the linesmen gave it when I'm sure the ref was closer to the scene....

Thought they weren't allowed to watch the replays at half time any more in case it influenced them to make decisions based on a wrong call.
