Man United vs Liverpool | Sunday 1:30pm

I'm looking forward to this. Our best chance in years to actually get a result at Old Trafford. In recent weeks, I've been feeling pretty confident about this game, but as it edges closer, doubts are starting to creep in.

Win this, and we're well and truly in the title race. Lose or draw, then I think we're going to have to settle for 4th.

Fortunately, I don't think he'll be getting sacked at all. Especially after Fergie's repeated backing, saying things like "we don't sack our managers"

Yup, been obvious he'd be our Hodgson since Day One.  Since before Day One actually, I wrote an article about how much of a joke appointing him would be on here years ago.

Hopefully the Glazers will save us from Ferguson or Moyes will have a heart attack/stroke/suicide under the pressure.

Liverpool fans were chanting for Dalglish quite early on, I think. Moyes has already lasted quite a bit longer than Roy Hodgson.

Probably around the middle of the game against Olympiakos.  By full time on Sunday everyone will already have walked out.

The reason they haven't yet is partly what Ferguson said, and partly because people have been listening to the self serving shite he has been coming out with for decades about managers "needing time", people have been lead to believe that it's a defining tenet of our club that we "give managers time".  United fans I speak to hold that it would make us "small time" like Chelsea or City to sack a clearly failing manager, despite the fact that all of the biggest clubs in the world apart from us go through managers at a rate at a similar rate to Chelsea.  A shower of cunts too thick to do their duty.

There would be a backlash, a lot of the old school lot are still outright in favour of him.  You need a very strong majority for people to get away with advocating a manager lose his job without risking getting lamped.

Who is likely to start in CB for United?  Jonathan Evans is out, I gather.

None of those three are bad centre backs.

It's funny how all confidence I had going into this match is gone on the day of the game Now I'm in the mindset of, surely they're going to score from the millions of crosses they put in, considering how bad we are in the air?

That said, it could all still very easily go wrong.

So annoying that Rafa is still on the pitch, though. Would be a completely different game had he correctly received a 2nd yellow.

Shouldn't have been a penalty, A) It wasn't deliberate, B) Rafael should have been sent off for the brutal foul on Gerrard.

He almost tried to move his arm away after realising what he'd done. It should be a booking though, and he should be off.

I know he's a bit deranged but I see no reason why he'd deliberately handle the ball in that situation.

Even if it wasn't deliberate, it's a denial of a goalscoring opportunity.

Most fouls in the box aren't deliberate.

As someone has already pointed out before it's an achievement to get such an array of attacking talent playing dull, slow, one dimensional football.
