If we hadn't got ourselves all out for 82, like a bunch of clueless clowns, we'd had drawn the series with honour intact.

Got asked by my cousin to temporarily join his team for a t-20 match. I naturally said yes, but batting under pressure is a nerve-wracking experience for me. Absolutely dreadful if you are swinging for the fences and missing the ball every time. I'm good at batting, but against pace I suck. Rather stick to bowling, harder to embarrass myself there. Just aim at the off-stump, make sure you get the ball to bounce before reaching the bat and it should be fine.

That can happen. But still better than batting. Plus you can celebrate better when bowling. My favourite is the classic fist pump. Though I'd like to do the aeroplane.

And whaddayouknow. Felt some pressure after realising I was the youngest of the lot, the rest being in their twenties or so. Got called to bowl the 2nd and 4th overs, being a T20 match. First ball, wide, angled away from the batsman. Second ball, right in the blockhole, and the immensely satisfying sound of the wickets being disarranged. The rest of my spell was allright, no boundaries, only a couple of singles and a few no-balls. Nothing better in cricket for me then bowling someone all ends up.

I was batting.

I used to play for a club but quit because all my mates stopped playing for the club.

I used to bowl seam and my best batting performance was 24 ran out and you retire on 25

Got 2 wickets in my first match, but need to stop bowling wides as much. It's hard bowling up the hill with the wind going against you so couldn't bowl that well. Batting my best is 1 not out and then a few ducks . Also need to improve my catching.

I have a problem with bowling beamers when I get into it too much and try to bowl too fast. I've found that if I become more calculating, valuing accuracy over pace, my game improves massively. Had a decent day in the field, mainly at square leg. Got the reflexes to dive and stop runs, while not much need to run, which I'm not a big fan of.

I don't like Cricket but I had money on England to beat Sri Lanka so enjoyed it earlier.

Yeh theres a club right near me and someone i know plays there so may give it a go.

Only just seen this thread I'm playing tuesday and thursday this week, fucking hell -.-

For internationals I prefer watching the test cricket, and for county I prefer the T20 and CB40.



Also might have a game on Saturday if I can be bothered to play.
