That's why Leeds released him as soon as they went up.TheMooseHunter wrote:Casper is now the best Championship goalkeeper.

They didn't see the potential he has to fulfill in the Championship. With Brighton he will become one of the worlds best and help them get promoted.

Re: Best Championship Goalkeeper?
That's true. Speroni, Kenny, Kasper and Westwood are the best keepers in this division I think. James didn't impress me at all whenever we played Bristol City and I didn't really notice Loach when we played Watford.Forest wrote:This would have looked much different on a forum where the posters actually know there's a league below the Premier League.
Speroni and Westwood would have much more votes, and it would have been a close call for the outright winner between, Camp, Kasper, Westwood, Speroni and Kenny, possibly De Vries and maybe James and Loach too.
I think the only reason Camp and Kasper got so many votes is because I bummed Camp and you all bought into the fact he's amazing, and the United gloryhunters will have probably voted Kasper because of his surname without even watching him play, plus there's a few Leeds fans

He has been shit since he moved to Bristol.

Look at them reflexes from Wankergren.

Re: Best Championship Goalkeeper?
Kasper is prone to doing the odd crazy thing, I remember when he ripped some tape off his calf against Boro and then he spent a good minute kicking it further and further up the pitch, he almost got to the half way line before he stopped and casually strolled back to the goal! If he goes I will miss his over the top on-pitch personality, when we score he drops to his knees in delight and if someone misses he sometimes drops to the deck like he's been shot!

Kenny isn't in this division
Most people who voted were probably judging the keepers based on their shot stopping. Am still baffled that Weale got a vote.

Yeah I think you're right. Kasper has looked absolutely brilliant in all our TV games where he made a lot of fantastic saves and I think that's where his votes have come from. He's the best in the league at shot-stopping but not much else.

Re: Best Championship Goalkeeper?
I think he is good at shot stopping and catching crosses now and then but shit at organising his defence.

Weale might have been me. I said Ricardo (beast) and probably just clicked the Leicester option.

coolhead33 wrote:Because Schmeichel is the best. Westwood came 3rd though which is good seeing as we might get him as a replacement for Kasper. I thought Kenny would of got more votes as he did fantastic at times last season.
I think Westy is a far better keeper than Kasper. Don't get me wrong, I think Kasper is a good keeper and helped keep us up the season before Westwood came (although he did let in 4 goals away to Charlton that could of sent us down) but Westwood is already premiership class.
Forest wrote:voted Kasper because of his surname without even watching him play
Agreed, his reputation will always be enhanced because of his surname.
