Actually I think I misunderstood what you were trying to say.

Because I don't think he's the best. I'm just saying that it's shocking that a team of England's caliber was forced to rely on a keeper of that caliber.

As has been said in the past though menalawyerguy, most of these keepers could easily make the step up to the Premier League. The only reason they haven't is because there is too many good keepers in England, we just don't have any top keepers.

David James was shit in both games against us.

FLS is the worst highlights show ever. I don't even know why I watch it. They never show the best highlights and they never show enough highlights and the people who email in don't know what they're on about.

I've watched a few games that didn't involve Leeds then watched the highlights on the FLS just to find that they claim they watched the game when the only thing they watched was the 10 second clip of highlights.

Coolhead, if you have an iPhone or iPod touch you should read the match report on the sky sports news app, it made our game actually sound entertaining! No idea what game they were watching, but the review was a load of shit.

They don't even get the names right most of the time. There was one the other week that said Blackstock provided the cross for Earnshaw to score, despite Blackstock being out injured for a year

David James had a good game against Preston tipping a couple over the bar they were such good saves they weren't given as corners
I like Westwood he will be in the prem soon,Lonergan is awful and Jason Brown is the worst on that list.

Is Lonergan the one who played vs us? If so he's the worst in the championship. Brown is ok but he does scare people when he has the ball.

It does really. He's just saying that there's a lot of goalkeepers who are about as good as each other but teams in the Premier League can only play one goalkeeper and there's more than 20 good goalkeepers in England so some have to settle for the bench or the Championship.

It makes sense, I'm not sure I agree with it though.

In one breath, he says that many of these keepers could easily make the Premiership. In the next, he says that there are too many good keepers in the Premiership. That means that they can't make it in the Premiership at present. Direct and blatant contradiction.

Besides, is there any denying that once you get beyond Joe Hart, England's keeper situation is an abomination?

Perhaps, though being a keeper for England is possibly the hardest in football.

There is the greatest pressure on you, because one mistake and your career can nose dive e.g. Carson

There's not much international level talent at the moment, but in the end you only need one most of the time......

Also what he said is that some Championship goalkeepers could take the step up if given the opportunity. The point is that most can't as there's only 1 spot per team and most goalkeepers have a good hold on their spot.

Sometimes it's not about being better or worse...managers sometimes have the "if it ain't broke, why fix it?" mentality.....

Camp shouldn't even be in consideration. Most of you wouldn't even know of him if it weren't for Forest

Kasper's the best shot stopper but other things he does still concern me sometimes. Voted for him anyway as I believe he is the best.

Kasper is only known because of his Dad

Whilst Lee Camp was in the 2009/10 Championship Team of the Year, poor Kasper was only in League 2

How the hell did Westwood only get 3 votes in this?

Because Schmeichel is the best. Westwood came 3rd though which is good seeing as we might get him as a replacement for Kasper. I thought Kenny would of got more votes as he did fantastic at times last season.

I think Westwood is better than Kasper but I still think I'd rather have the latter as he's younger and has good potential. However if it's a choice between getting money and Westwood and losing Kasper then I'm fine with that.

The only problem with Kasper is that he doesn't get on well with the defence but I don't blame him either. I'd of beat the defence up by now if I was in his shoes.

This would have looked much different on a forum where the posters actually know there's a league below the Premier League.

Speroni and Westwood would have much more votes, and it would have been a close call for the outright winner between, Camp, Kasper, Westwood, Speroni and Kenny, possibly De Vries and maybe James and Loach too.

I think the only reason Camp and Kasper got so many votes is because I bummed Camp and you all bought into the fact he's amazing, and the United gloryhunters will have probably voted Kasper because of his surname without even watching him play, plus there's a few Leeds fans
